As a committed Mountain Dew addict, it's sort of implied that I'll try a new Mountain Dew variety when it comes out. Sometimes it'll be great and I temporarily switch to it (Pitch Black), so terrible I never buy it again (LiveWire), or just so-so I-could-care-less (Voltage). So now that Throwback is available en-masse in stores, I figured I'd give it a try.
Pepsi is using what I've heard is a circa-'50s label for Mountain Dew Throwback, which I thought was somewhat interesting:

On Mondays and Wednesdays, I've been having an interesting problem: two almost-adjacent two-hour classes that require me to run back to my dorm after the first class is over, so that I can recharge my laptop. Annoying? You bet.

And so begins my final full day in Boston for a long while. It's a feeling that I knew was coming since last year, but finally set in. I'll be making my last rounds around the city in the morning, and plan on finishing up the packing in the afternoon, leaving Saturday morning for the 6.5-hour, 400mi / 650km trip to college. Hopefully it won't take me all that long to get situated there so that I can come back and detail the move-out and move-in.

The news as of last week is that I am now the owner of a '99 BMW 528i, which a number of my friends have dubbed the "Donmobile".

A: What can't vinyl tape fix?
The button board had been acting flaky for awhile, and often to set the clock I'd just open it up and short the accumulator pin to adjust the time. It turned out that the material between the buttons and the board itself had dried out over the years, thus squishing instead of depressing as expected. I tore it out and used some tape in its place.
(to Antony: this is the same one I modified earlier. Why buy a new clock if I can just fix up what I have?)
