More prices.

In response to yesterday's post, I went to the supermarket today. While a two-liter bottle is still (for now, at least) $1.64, the price of a twelve-pack has gone up to $5.59. Cans are 355mL each, and 0.355L * 12 = 4.26 liters in a case. At that rate, I could have picked up nearly the same quantity with the convenience store price of $4.58, or six liters for $4.92 at the supermarket.

In other news, the senior class at school had a photo taken yesterday for the yearbook. In the few minutes before the photo was taken, I sketched a quick sign to hold up:

The cans here are mostly 375ml.

I usually buy cans, so I don't drink too much in one day. (that reads Antony is poor)

Hmm, thanks, I didn't know that. So if there are roughly eight cups in two liters, Antony pays 8 * .7 = $5.60 whereas I pay $1.64, so it seems to me that Antony would easily be able to afford the new $5.59 price of a Mountain Dew twelve-pack.

Of course, Antony has the health benefits and the much higher caffeine content of coffee on his side. If I'm going to drink something hot, though, it's probably going to be tea, not coffee.

It is 68 cents per Nespresso Capsule.

Well, Antony is old, he drinks coffee now.

Hot tea is good, even American Lipton or store brand tea bags are OK. I use loose tea leaves myself and use a coffee plunger to brew them. I always buy leaf tea on special and blend 2 brands to make a great flavour. The caffeine in tea is less troublesome than coffee I expect.

Rev. Dr.,

I thought Lipton is from UK.

I don't have any special requirement for tea, just give me "at least" Lipton tea. ("at least" as in any brand better or equal to Lipton.) Those cheap no-name branded tea offered by stingy clubs is nothing but horrible.

Antony pays .70 cents for a cup of coffee he makes at home. ( that reads: Antony is an idiot! )
